Masterclass Guidelines
Public performances of students (Level 4 or higher) presenting any piece in a lesson setting presided by a guest Master teacher. Each student will be given approximately 20 minutes but subject to change. The strings and woodwinds department may alternate every year with the keyboard department.
    1. Guest Masterclass teacher will select five to six best-qualified student to perform in the Masterclass. Program decision will be based on his/her repertoire choice for the program and the students' background.Guest Masterclass teacher will select five to six best-qualified student to perform in the Masterclass. Program decision will be based on his/her repertoire choice for the program and the students' background. 
    2. Those students who are selected to participate in the Masterclass will be informed by the Chair. For those students who are not selected, their $40.00 application fee will be returned to them.
    3. The Masterclass is open to the public with free admission.
    4. Only one piece or movement is allowed for each student. All music must be memorized.
    5. All performers must provide their own accompanist of the Masterclass. (Strings only.)
    6. All performers must provide an original score of his or her repertoire for the guest Master teacher.
    7. All performers are required to be in proper concert attire.
    8. Piece/movement may last up to 10 minutes of the Masterclass.
