History of Diamond Bar Branch
The formation of the Diamond Bar Branch of the Music Teachers' Association of California was held at the home of Gina Morton in Diamond Bar, California at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2002.
There are four members who are still in our branch from the ten charter members (beginning members), including Gina Morton, our branch's first president who compiled most of our current branch programs.
About MTAC
The Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC), incorporated in 1897 is a nonprofit professional organization of over 5,000 members, whose purposes are:
- Promoting musical culture
- The pursuit of excellence in the field of music education
There are sixty-seven branches in the state, and each branch maintains its own schedule of programs and activities as well as participating in statewide project.
